The Chandler Public Library is a branch of the Henderson County Clint W. Murchison Memorial Library. It was originally established in 1983 in an old county Book Mobile. The library was moved to a building on Broad Street in 1987. The current facility was built using money from projects and donors and opened in 1996. The Chandler Public Library serves the eastern part of the county and has over 4000 patrons.
The library is also the home to a collection of books and items from former US Senator Ralph Yarborough's estate including documents detailing his presence in President John Kennedy's motorcade the day of his assassination in Dallas.
Other displays include items of interest from Chandler's history.
The library is located at 900 E. Hwy 31 in Chandler, Texas.
